Our Solar History Runs Deep

Where we came from

Our team members got started early helping people across North America go solar. Since 2008 our mission has been to transition the world to 100% renewable energy. We are both energy geeks and clean energy experts here to help you save on solar.

The EnergyPal executive team previously founded an online solar shopping center and a clean energy marketing firm to spread the word about solar. Our leadership brings over 65 years of collective solar experience to make going solar hassle-free.

Our expertise

Our team members had been awarded a SunShot Initiative Grant in 2011 by the US Department of Energy to address soft costs of solar installation. The Canada team also expanded their reach and strengthened their digital technology with the acquisition of another two US solar marketplaces in 2011 and 2012.

We had built customer programs for over 20 of the largest solar companies and supported hundreds of other solar companies with solar education efforts. Our founding companies were also acquired by NRG and Sunrun for their industry-leading technology and scale of impact on sustainability. Since the early days, our team has developed valued partnerships with consumer-centric and sustainability focused organizations. In addition to working with government agencies, we have established national partnerships in both the USA and Canada with National Geographic, Mike Holmes, David Suzuki foundation to spread the word about solar & sustainability.

What we do now

Despite the accomplishments and impact, we knew that until the world is 100% powered by renewable energy, our mission is not complete. In 2016 we launched a better, easier way to help more people go solar & spread the word. We simplified the solar buying experience using our solar recommendation technology and human touch.

Today our formula for creating happy customers is quite simple. Great products + Lower prices + Expert guidance + Dedicated support = Customers win!
