We have had our pool solar heater for about 3 months now. Aztec Solar did a beautiful install on our roof. They cleaned up the site, painted the pipes and programmed my system to work with the solar actuator. We are super happy and glad we went with Aztec Solar.

Our gas line to the pool heater needed replacement, and it seemed like a great time to consider a change. I contacted a number of local solar companies to get information and quotes to have solar pool heating installed this summer Aztec had the best materials, price and customer service. The installation went smoothly, and we now enjoy 90+ degree pool water (our favorite temperature) every day! I give them my strongest recommendation--wish we had done this years ago!

I researched many solar companies before deciding on Aztec Solar. They provided me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Unfortunately this was not the case from all the companies that provided estimates. The work was completed timely with no issues and my solar has been running for over a year. I no longer dread receiving my SMUD bill. The app allows me to track my solar production easily.

We installed Aztec Solar for our new pool this summer and they were the only Solar company that would take on the challenge of not being able to have prime roof space. We also have solar for electricity which takes up most of our south facing roof so when I spoke to other pool solar companies they turned us down because of the lack of south face space on our roof. Aztec technology not only works with sunlight but also with the heat from the air so if it's over 90-degrees on your roof they can heat the water in your pool. We have 4 panels facing south and 3 north facing and that's enough to heat our medium size pool to the sweet spot in the summer: 85 degrees.
Overall, we are very happy with our Aztec Solar system and everyone we worked with at the company. Brian (sales) was easy to work with and took the time to help us get the most cost and efficient product with the end results we were looking for. Blythe at the office is very accommodating and responsive to our questions and schedule - we were leaving for vacation for 4 weeks and Blythe got us on the calendar in 2 days.
Our post sales experience has also been great. We had a problem with on of the pipes on the roof and they came right out and fixed it.
I highly recommend Aztec Solar.

Due to the extreme heatwave and the nature of the work, the job before us took longer than anticipated so we started about a week late. I also increased my number of panels so my costs were different than quoted, but that was my own doing. They went above and beyond for me in SO many ways, were courteous, responded to my requests and inquiries, worked with my crazy schedule and educated me on my new system. Everyone was professional and I could not be happier. Thank you, Aztec, for taking such amazing care of me.

Aztec is a fantastic company to work with! From the initial estimate for solar panels and water heater, all the way to the final signing of completion documents, I couldn't be happier! The office staff kept me informed and worked with my schedule for installation. The crews that did the installation were very informative, friendly, yet professional. The process for installation, operation and rebates were explained in detail in a way that I could understand easily. Even the inspector had high praise for Aztec! I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Received the quote and it took us some time to get the loan (issue on our end) but once we were ready things moved pretty quickly. There was a delay in scheduling due to the hot summer temps but that isn't Aztec's fault. System functions great, they did an excellent job at explaining not only how the system works but also the controls. Offered to call them ANYTIME if we had ANY issues. So far so good. Oh and we hit 91F on the pool temp the other day!

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Aztec Solar consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Aztec Solar solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Aztec Solar.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
