I recently had Integrated Home Energy install a complete solar solution for my home and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The installation went smoothly and the team was very professional and responsive throughout the entire process. I was impressed with their knowledge and expertise in solar energy and they were able to answer all of my questions. My heartfelt thanks to Jason, Gayle and the entire Integrated Home Energy team - I highly recommend Integrated Home Energy to anyone looking for solar energy solutions!

Jason and team designed and installed a solar + battery system that included custom details for our project. The project was completed 6+ months ago, and we are very satisfied. We engaged through the EnergySage site and decided on Integrated Home Energy because they were local, had a good reputation, and the responsiveness of Jason through the design pre-sales process. We were not rushed and all questions were thoroughly answered. The installation process was straightforward from our side, and the workmanship was what I was expecting. There were some issues during the commissioning of the system and it took a little tuning due to PECO unknowns, but Jason was available and dispatched when needed or resolved it remotely using the maintenance portal. Definitely recommend Jason and the Integrated Home Energy team!

Very responsive and clearly invested in doing the job right the first time. I felt well taken care throughout the process. They did a ground mount install which is maybe a little atypical for the area but permits, install, inspection and interconnection went smoothly. I would highly recommend.

I started my solar journey a full year before the actual installation. I found Energy Sage early on in the process, but not before running into some shady install companies that wanted to oversell capacity and felt their company name deserved an additional $1/watt! I had to narrow the field and finally, Jason with Integrated Home Energy had the exact right ingredients for my specific needs. I wanted an all-inclusive warranty (check), an external service entrance update (check), a system size that maximized available installation footprint as well as future EV demand (check), and a competitive per-watt price (check)!!!!!! Jason and Drijon are great to work with! Through every step of application submission to final installation, they were very professional. They went to every extreme to accommodate me including crediting me for some electrical components I prepurchased for the service entrance! I am willing to speak with anyone regarding the top-shelf experience!

Integrated Home Energy was the local subcontractor for my solar installation. From day one of the installation I found all members of the team engaging and very responsive to my questions and concerns. On the first day, a few unforeseen changes were needed in the panel placement and I followed Jamie up onto the roof to discuss it. It took about an hour and then the process began. Halfway Into the installation, the team recommended a deviation from the plans by reorienting a panel to landscape to hide some inter-panel conduit. Jamel was kind enough to use extra shingles I had on hand to re-shingle that area.

Initially, the wet weather was not cooperating, which extended the timeline for the work to be done, but Jason remained flexible and had the team on the project at every break in the weather. Jason always responded quickly to my questions and for scheduling coordination. IHE’s electrician did some great work and he was able to accommodate my suggestion to run the PV wiring down an internal conduit from the attic to the basement that I had the builder of my home install. The installation of the inverter and the rest of the equipment on the side of my home is also perfectly laid out.
After the installation was completed, one bracket on one panel of fifteen tilted panels on the north side roof had worked its way loose during days of 40 mph winds. Jason had a team member out within 90-minutes of my contacting him to correct the situation.
Once the PTO was issued and it was time to turn the system on, I realized that the contractor had failed to ship the wireless gateway parts. They contacted IHE and Jason found a spare gateway package with the antennas and the system was commissioned within two hours on the same day! I highly recommend Integrated Home Energy as a solar installer. If I decide to go forward and include power storage for my system, I will be calling Integrated Home Energy.

Integrated Home Energy (IHE) stepped in and, under warranty work from Generac, finished getting my solar power system up and running properly. The company that installed my system went bankrupt shortly after install, leaving me hanging. I found IHE through the Generac website as they were a recommended vendor for Generac warranty work, and contacted them. They got right on to fixing the issues that were left by the installation company, and now my system is working as it's supposed to. I wasn't IHE's initial customer but was treated like one. HIGHLY recommended.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Integrated Home Energy consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Integrated Home Energy solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Integrated Home Energy.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
