Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value My sweetheart is an electrical/HVAC contractor by trade, who is very particular about work quality, his own and others. We would recommend Michael&Sun solar Strongly to anyone interested in going solar. They are professional, courteous and very detail oriented. One of the reasons we picked them was they were the only one that wanted a year of electric bills to verify system size. We have been on solar two months and almost no electric usage from PG&E. The highest compliment we can give is if we had another house to put solar on, after the design process and the site survey, we would toss them the keys and not look back. If you are in their work area they would be the ones to pick, Even if they were a bit more in cost. A very organized and tight knit group.

The M&S team was fast, friendly, and reliable. I chose them over 3 other bids I obtained because they were the easiest to work with and the most reasonably priced.

We couldn’t be happier with our solar from Michael & Sun solar and the service they provided. We interviewed a few solar companies to determine who to use, and Michael & Sun was our unanimous pick for their friendliness and ability to explain stuff to us in a way that made sense. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and were prompt in their communication and installation process. They kept us informed every step of the way and have continued to check in and make sure everything is working properly. Deciding to go solar was a great decision and we are so happy we used Michael & Sun.

Michael & Sun exceeded all of our solar expectations! From the time I received my solar estimate to the time I jumped in was over 3 years and many, many questions in between. Michael and team were more than patient and extremely thorough in helping me to understand the solar process. I had met with a total of 5 companies for estimates and in the end, I felt that we would have the best experience with Michael and team and I was not wrong. The process could not have been any easier to navigate. All information was thoroughly explained and communications were very quickly responded to. The actual installation was also perfect and seamless. We absolutely love our panels and most importantly the PG&E electric bill!

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I got three bids for my solar project, and the one from Michael & Sun stood out from the rest, both in terms of price and from the professionalism and knowledge of the people working there. It was an easy decision. And they installed the system on time (actually ahead of time) and as agreed to. It was a pleasure working with them every step of the way. I highly recommend them for your solar project.

When we were looking for a solar installer three things mattered: overall cost, technical sophistication, and a company based in and benefiting our local community. Michael & Sun solar hit all three notes for us. Our design process used sophisticated modeling to give us a good idea of what size system we needed to meet our goals (which included eliminating our use of natural gas appliances) and how our array could be designed to maximize our solar yield. Their use of LG panels and Enphase inverters meant we knew were were getting reliable and well-known products. Installation was painless. The team came in and had us set up in just a little over a day. They helped us understand what we needed with our electrical panel upgrade and coordinated with our electrician. Getting hooked up to the electric grid took some work and they were helpful there as well. Finally they have been good partners post sale. We have reviewed expected vs. actual performance and explored adding battery back-up. All of this for prices that were competitive with any company we contacted. I have recommended Michael & Son Solar to several neighbors who have used them to install their systems. I will continue to recommend them as an excellent partner for any solar install.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Michael & Sun Solar consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Michael & Sun Solar solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Michael & Sun Solar.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
