I had researched solar companies for months prior to selecting New Day Solar. I read a lot of reviews, filled out online forms, and sent emails. I looked at large national companies as well as locally owned businesses. I am glad to say that after all this research, we were rewarded with a great product and outstanding service when we decided to go with New Day Solar. The cost was very competitive and I will tell you what I mean by the word competitive. New Day Solar’s price per watt was within pennies of the cheapest quotes I received. You then need to take into consideration the equipment being used and the service you expect to receive. I researched the type of panels and microinverters that were used for each quote and I read hundreds of reviews for the solar companies bidding for my business. Taking everything into consideration I was left with one conclusion; New Day Solar was my best fit. Everyone I dealt with from New Day Solar was very helpful. They were considerate of my lack of knowledge in solar and stayed very professional even after my many, many repetitive questions. I had worked with Walter (sales) for a couple of weeks. We had a few online meetings as well as phone calls and everything was finalized online. It could not have been easier. Walter had given me an estimated installation date. I was very surprised when I received a call almost one month ahead of time and asked if they could come the following week. Ryan and his group came out to install the panels early in the morning. It was another hot day and temperature got over 100° by noon. The install was completed by the afternoon. I can’t believe this all got done in one day with this type of heat. Must have been a lot hotter up on the roof! All during the process Sarah handled any questions I had. She took the lead on scheduling and following through. Everyone at New Day Solar was outstanding. The electric company was a different story. I sent in all of the paperwork and the application was deemed complete and valid prior to installation. After installation was completed and the system received final inspection the following week, I then received PTO (permission to operate) from SCE a little over two weeks later. Okay then, I’m hooked up and all set to see my electric bill start giving me credits. Wrong! I called the electric company about a month later because I had not received a bill in two months and my current billing period in entering its’ third month. Still not seeing any credit. I was told by SCE that I had to fill out more paperwork to request they actually start net metering even though it was already approved and I had PTO. The form was completed and I waited another three weeks and still did not see any credit. I called SCE and was told it take a minimum of 3-5 month prior to SCE adding net metering to my account. I was told to call back in three months. I was assured my billing would be retroactive to my PTO date but in the meantim

I chose New Day Solar to install my solar because I was recommend by a friend. It has been almost 5 years since New Day Solar installed my solar system and I have been so happy not having an electric bill, especially when I just read that SDG&E is going to raise their rates by 5.7%. I can't say enough about my experience with New Day Solar. Their customer service is exemplary! They made the entire process easy and if I call them with any questions or concerns, everyone at their company is friendly and willing to help me and answer my questions. They did a great job installing my solar, leaving no conduit on my roof. In fact, I've got the best looking solar system in the neighborhood! The installers were polite and professional. Our sales consultant -Scott, was so knowledgeable, patient and explained the entire process to me. He designed our system and listened to my concerns about where to run the conduit. On installation day Oscar's team installed it in one day and we were given permission to turn on from SDG&E shortly after. My system is beautiful and works just as they said it would. I've seen some questionable solar installations in my neighborhood, but mine is definitely not one of them! I am extremely happy with my experience with New Day Solar and I highly recommend them!

I was curious about solar for quite some time, but my husband was very skeptical after some high pressure salespeople had come to our door. Then I met Mary Carlson with New Day Solar and I knew her company was different. Scott Carlson came to our house and answered every question my husband had (he had A LOT of questions), and he did the math for us, showing us exactly how much the system would cost and how much we would save. We never felt we were being "sold" to, Scott simply took the time to educate us and make sure we understood everything. When he left my husband said "why didn't we do this sooner? We were more than pleased with the service from the very first meeting, to the installation, to the way our referrals have been treated since. If I could give them more stars, I would!

I am so happy that I decided to get solar and even more happy that I chose New Day Solar. They installed my solar in one day. They were so friendly and left the job site clean and spotless. You couldn't even tell that they were there. They gave me a great loan and I will own my solar system out right after the loan is paid off. So many other companies where trying to get me to lease or do PPA. But with New Day Solar I will really be energy independent. The best company in the Temecula Valley by far!

I have to admit, I was resistant to the thought of solar for a long time. New Day Solar changed my mind! The fact that they post their prices on line was very reassuring. I knew that I would not be dealing with a pushy salesman and changing prices. Andrew was great, he went over our last year of electricity usage, and what it would take to cover our high summer usage. New Day took care of permits, coordinated with SCE and helped us obtain financing at a great rate! The crew did an excellent job of installing a new electrical panel, 47 solar panels and wire netting around the panels to keep the pigeons out. All in only 2 days :) They were professional, very friendly, and endlessly patient in answering our many questions. They worked so cleanly that you couldn't tell they had ever been there. Andrew also helped us connect to MyEnlighten which has an app that lets you track your Production, Consumption and the amount of energy that is exported each day. It's fun to watch!! I highly recommend Scott, Mary, Andrew and the rest of the guys that made this a completely painless process.

New Day Solar is a Great Company | San Jacinto, California

As a retired Customer Service Manager I am somewhat particular about the service I receive. I usually find that most businesses have a somewhat above ordinary service level, not great but not too bad. In fact, it is rare to find a company in any industry that really lights it up. Ironically, New Day Solar does just that, pun intended. I was absolutely taken aback by the level of service provided. And that pertains to each and every aspect from the very first conversation to the day I could turn the switch on my new solar system. If you have an opportunity to meet either of the owners, Scott or Mary, and it is a treat to meet them both, you will find that they start the process by carefully listening, actually listening! They want to ensure you get the system that meets your needs and they answer every question in terms a neophyte could understand. And the service technicians are incredibly polite, answering all questions and explaining anything you do not understand. Obviously, the service techs prove the fact that Scott and Mary want their business to have a top flight reputation based on actual superlative customer service. And the install itself, it is so clean it looks fabulous. They paid attention to the smallest of details, even vacuuming my garage floor to ensure nothing was left behind. I not only recommend New Day Solar, but state quite frankly, if you do not talk to Scott or Mary, you are truly settling for second best.

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest New Day Solar solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on New Day Solar.
