We have had our solar system for about 10.5 years and the inverter was not working well any more. I had ordered a new inverter on a Black Friday special and Pacific Pro Solar was recommended to me. I called Bill at Pacific Pro solar. He right away arranged for Oscar to come out within just a few days to install the new unit. I am very satisfied with the quick service, good price and very nice people at Pacific Pro Solar.

I live in a landmarked 1939 mini estate. I was very pleased in using Bill and his great team for several reasons: We wanted an esthetically pleasing roof. It meant that as much as possible (and due to the configuration of my house), we wanted a design that didn't ruin the visual of my house. We worked with Bill and came up with a design that basically hides any sign of solar panels. While there were some sacrifices to the efficiency, Bill "got it" and did a great job. He also handled the LADWP paperwork and rebates as well as the permitting. I've recommended him to several other homeowners. He just came back to add another 6 panels (45 total!) he set up the web ap to monitor everything as well. Lastly: DO NOT LEASE A SOLAR SYSTEM! If a guy shows up with a swanky white truck and a clipboard...RUN. You will be paying for his salary and everyone elses back at the office (Appointment setters, phone salespeople etc) Instead: BUY the equipment yourself with a loan or low interest credit card and hire an installer. I received quotes for 60-95K and wound up getting my system done for under 35K. Ask Bill for my number if you want more testimonial. Namaste!

I spent months checking out more than ten solar providers. Everyone tells you something different. Not Bill Nuttall at Pacific Pro Solar. I am so pleased that I chose them to do my solar install. Very knowledgeable about the products available. His installer did a fabulous job. Would absolutely recommend Pacific Pro Solar. Don't waste your time shopping around. I did it for you! Thanks again Bill.

After going through a lot of different solar providers for proposals, we chose Pacific Pro Solar. The President, Bill Nuttall, was straightforward, honest, and extremely helpful with our solar proposal. All commitments for our contract, installation date, inspections, etc. were met on time. Additionally, the installer, Oscar, was amazing. He showed up on time, was very friendly, informative, and efficient. He continually gave us updates on the project and what to expect next. All of us deal with different contractors when we have home projects. Bill and Pacific Pro Solar ranks as one of the most reliable contractors we have experienced and we highly recommend Pacific Pro Solar to anyone considering a solar system for their home or business.

After speaking with several solar installers I chose Pacific Pro Solar based on price, equipment offered, and online reviews by others. They installed a 4.4 kw system with 14 panels. I was very pleased with the process and I recommend Pacific Pro to anyone wanting a solid installation for a good price.

I had a great experience with Pacific Pro Solar Group. They just completed the installation of a 14-panel system using LG panels with a SolarEdge central inverter. It's now up and producing all my electricity needs.

Bill Nuttal, the owner, dealt with me directly. He gave me a competitive price and helped answer my questions about the best system for my house and energy usage. Once I made the decision to accept his proposal, his contract was a one-page document which was very straight forward and understandable.

Installation was simple and uncomplicated, and was finished in 3 working days. Oscar, the project foreman, visited my house for an inspection prior to ordering materials to make sure the layout was correct. They worked in a two person crew. The first day of installation was electrical, the second day was racking and the third day was assembly of the roof panels. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day so you could barely tell they were here.

The last step was the City inspection and Oscar was was well prepared. The inspection went flawlessly and later that day I stared receiving emails from San Diego Gas & Electric letting me know that I was approved. Two days later I was making my own energy and selling power back to the utility.

If you want to be happy with a new solar system, call Bill Nuttal at Pacific Pro Solar Group, Inc., at (951) 689-0737 or via e-mail at billnuttall@pacificprosolar.com.

This company was referred to me by a major solar supplier. They had received favorable feedback from their customers. After comparing their prices to many other installers, I couldn't be more delighted with the deal I received. I was glad to have used Pacific Pro Solar. They were extremely professional, caring and diligent and affordable. 7600 watt of solar installed and completed within a week. My first bill was under $14 because I need to stop laundry and running my pool pump at night!
I also received a follow up call from the owner asking how everything was running and set me up whereby I can monitor my system from my smart phone. Overall a very positive experience and I would certainly recommend this company to anyone interested in solar.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Pacific Pro Solar consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Pacific Pro Solar solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Pacific Pro Solar.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.

Steps for Installing Solar Panels

 • Qualification: Contact solar companies through web forms, referrals, or flyers. Answer questions to determine eligibility.
 • System Design: Receive initial solar system design in a proposal. Review the design and consider panel placement, avoiding “under-sizing“ or “oversizing.“
 • Compare Quotes: Evaluate quotes, considering factors like monthly payments, power output, and system details. Seek guidance to simplify the comparison.
 • Contract Signing: Select a company and panel design, understand and sign the contract.
 • Site Survey: Technician assesses the site for solar panel installation, checking roof orientation and structural integrity.
 • Engineering: Behind-the-scenes process finalizes system layout, electrical configuration, and structural safety for permit submission.
 • Permitting: The company obtains necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulations.
 • Installation: Expert team mounts panels, installs wiring and inverters, connects the system to the grid.
 • System Activation: Request final inspections, obtain permission to operate (PTO) from the utility, and turn on the system. Monitoring apps track power generation. From a signed contract to installation and system activation this process can take two to six months to complete. Check out our article for a more indepth look into the solar installation process.
