Having worked with PV2 as a subcontractor it was clear to me that the way they run their business would fit me as a customer very well, and it did!

My brother-in-law is in the solar review and installation business, working with companies in California and across the company, so when I began receiving sales pitches from different companies, I ran them all by him for his professional opinion. Having experience with many different solar installation companies, he was able to attest to PV Squared offering the most professional and thorough of the estimates that we received, with the highest level of expertise. All of that was borne out by the installation experience itself, which was thoroughly professional and courteous, as well as by the follow-up in the succeeding years, where they worked to fix any glitches that occurred. The fact that we've paid nothing for electricity over nine months of every year (the exception being the darkest months of the winter, when there is no sunlight to generate the solar credit on our electric bill that we for have the rest of the year).

Other installers turned me down because we have a metal roof that is a bit different. PV Squared took the time to test it and got it to work. We've had the panels for 3 years and the quoted Kwh they said we would get was spot on! There has been no problems with the panels. They were always quick and friendly when I had any questions during and after the installation.

PV Squared gave great advice before we even signed on for an estimate. Treated us very professionally and the experience continued all the way through planning, installation and beyond. PV Squared is no pressure, they give you the facts and time to think about your decision. If I had to do it over again, I would have acted faster, everything went so smoothly, my fears were erased. The panels have exceeded my expectations, my total electric house has not had an electric bill for 20 months and counting. PV Squared is highly recommended.

I wanted the Pika off-grid inverter and PV Squared was one of the companies that supported them. Price was competitive and installation went smoothly. Very good communications on the project.

Go With PV Squared! | Conway, Massachusetts

I chose PV Squared for my residential solar project based on a few recommendations from local neighbors and business owners. I was impressed with every aspect of the job, from the responsiveness to my initial inquiry to the post-installation walkthrough. I consistently felt that I was in capable, intelligent hands, and I am now so thrilled to be selling my energy back to Eversource instead of having a monthly electric bill. I strongly encourage others to go with PV Squared!

I talked to several local companies, and PV Squared came highly recommended. They were thoughtful and too their time to work with me, and I learned a lot from my discussions with them. Their system design used better equipment and offered more power from my roof than anyone else. Their team was great to work with - installers were polite, friendly, and professional - and the system is doing everything they said it would, even outperforming their production estimates.

I wasn't sure I wanted to put the money into solar and was fearful of the possible problems to my roof, my electrical system, on-going care issues. They listened at every step of the way, honored my concerns along the way, were objective, and never pushy. Once I decided to go for it, they made every step thereafter easy and installed the panels on time and on budget!!<br />I would recommend them.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like PV Squared (Pioneer Valley Photovoltaics Cooperative) consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest PV Squared (Pioneer Valley Photovoltaics Cooperative) solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on PV Squared (Pioneer Valley Photovoltaics Cooperative).

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
