Team 2 headed up by Chris simply rolled up their sleeves and got the job done. Most impressed by the installers who knew about what everyone else was doing and was able to explain. The job was done quickly and professionally. We even had a second team show up. I was told that they were scheduled to do an installation but were held back due to excess snow on the customers' roof. One of the guys said the QHS is very concerned with safety and was why they did not risk it. The second team huddled with the first then everyone pulled it together in under 5 hours. I could not hope for a better outcome.

12/14/18 We would highly recommend Sun Power by Quality Home Services of Fresno. We are quite pleased with what our solar panels are doing for us AND for our electric bill!
It has been a pleasure doing business with SUN POWER by Quality Home Services over the last several months! Our sales person Erica Rohlfing has been so very informative and attentive. At our first appointment at our home with Sun Power she and Adam were so helpful, answering our questions as to how solar works and what to expect from it. We especially appreciated not being high-pressured at all. Since that first appointment with Sun Power, Erica has continued to call to check up on us every few weeks, and to ask how our new solar system is working out for us.
Our system has been up and running for over 3 months now. We know any time we have questions we can call or text Erica or the Sun Power team and they will gladly take the time to respond.
This is just one example of how the Sun Power team strived to accommodate us and our desires as to what we had hoped to achieve if we took the big step and went solar:
In the beginning we had decided to contract for just enough panels (plus 5% extra) to continue using our electricity the same as before our solar was installed. But then after our installation date had been officially put on their busy summer schedule, we decided we'd like to get more panels to allow us to spoil ourselves now and then – like run the AC a little more during the hot summer evenings. Erica and Sun Power didn't want our installation date to be delayed so they managed to arrange it so that our additional panels could be installed at a slightly later date rather than combine the order into one which would have delayed the entire installation. We were very grateful to them for going above-and-beyond to accommodate our desire without delaying our installation during the hot summer. Thank you Sun Power by Quality Home Services of Fresno!
Jim & Lynne K

On January 14, 2011 Quality Home Services install 12 Sun Power solar panels. These 12 panels produced just enough electrical energy to keep my monthly electric bill at base line rates. My electric bill during the first year went from over $400 per month to less than $100. My pay back was less than 7 years. As a retired electrical engineer I greatly enjoyed having trouble free power generation due to Quality Home Services expert installation of Sun Power solar panels. They also accommodated my request to hide all roof panel wiring.
At the end of the first year the panels generated over five thousand kilowatt's, however I added a spa, so Quality Home Services recommended four more panels. They volunteered to reposition all of my existing panels to keep all of them on the same roof. This makes them easier to clean.
This is my third cost effective trouble free year using solar energy to help supply my need for electrical power. Quality Home Services has been in business in the Clovis/Fresno area for over twenty years. This was important to me because most solar system warranties are for a long time.
I highly recommend Quality Home Services.
Drew Loucks
Clovis CA.

I was very impressed with the quality of the Sunpower System and the professional installation crew of Quality Home Services who worked on my system. The crew arrived on time. Sid, the lead installer, explained everything that would be done and the order in which it would be completed. They were very considerate of our property and did not disrupt our daily activity while the work was being done. .The installation was completed in one day

I would highly recommend Quality Home Services to anyone considering solar for their home.

I spoke with Dave, from Quality Home Services, about solar for my home. I was impressed with his product knowledge, as well as his professionalism. He wasn't pushy as had been the salesmen from other solar companies I have checked out. The installation went smoothly, and service after the sale has been great. I routinely recommend Quality Home Services to my friends who are interested in solar.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Sunpower by Quality Home Services consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Sunpower by Quality Home Services solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Sunpower by Quality Home Services.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.

Steps for Installing Solar Panels

 • Qualification: Contact solar companies through web forms, referrals, or flyers. Answer questions to determine eligibility.
 • System Design: Receive initial solar system design in a proposal. Review the design and consider panel placement, avoiding “under-sizing“ or “oversizing.“
 • Compare Quotes: Evaluate quotes, considering factors like monthly payments, power output, and system details. Seek guidance to simplify the comparison.
 • Contract Signing: Select a company and panel design, understand and sign the contract.
 • Site Survey: Technician assesses the site for solar panel installation, checking roof orientation and structural integrity.
 • Engineering: Behind-the-scenes process finalizes system layout, electrical configuration, and structural safety for permit submission.
 • Permitting: The company obtains necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulations.
 • Installation: Expert team mounts panels, installs wiring and inverters, connects the system to the grid.
 • System Activation: Request final inspections, obtain permission to operate (PTO) from the utility, and turn on the system. Monitoring apps track power generation.
