Found resne through the energysage website. I received their proposal along with others and after interviewing installers, I decided to go with resne. And am very happy I did. They were very professional and did a great install. The install is very clean and nice looking. There are no wire conduit channels exposed, and no inverter boxes on the outside of the building. From the outside, you only see two things, the solar panels, and a disconnect switch near the electric meter. I have had the system for 6 months now, and the system has outperformed the solar panel's projected electrical output. I would highly recommend resne if you are searching for an installer of a residential solar system in Rhode Island.

Everyone was very professional and answered any questions I had. I was considering adding batteries to my system. Instead of just saying yes, they advised me to wait since the batteries are not quite there yet and that I should wait. Greg & Edmund were very knowledgeable and were able to make sure I was able to maximize my system to get most out of it. I am a very picky person that is concerned with the aesthetics and they made sure that the panels were all black, centered on my roof, and you cannot see any of the electrical work. They kept me informed throughout the entire process. They are a local business that I would support and highly recommend.

We had a great experience with RESNE. From the first proposal to completion of the project was 5 months. RESNE is very knowledgeable about solar from both a technical, government grants/funding point of view, interfacing with National Grid and State and Local inspectors etc.. I felt well informed during the process of the project and changes we collectively decided to make along the way. Workmanship was excellent and considerate of our home , schedules etc.. We had no issues at all with the design or the installation. I recommend them highly.

They were great to work with starting with the sales process where I learned a lot despite all of the research I had done in advance. They told me a timeframe for installation and it was completed as promised. The panels look great and so far my meter is spinning backwards one month into it.

Both Greg Albanese and Ed Di Troia were personable as well as very professional to work with, and despite complications and delays over which they had no control because of the coronavirus pandemic, they remained in touch with me, and the completion of the job went very smoothly once the necessary paperwork was received from the city. If I owned another house, I would definitely ask Renewable Energy Services of New England, Inc., to do the solar installation for me again!

we had a few companies come to give us quotes about moving to solar and we by far thought Resne was the best company all around. It was RI based company, the sales rep was truly knowledgeable in knowing the product. We began the process before Covid had hit so we had to wait till things started opening up again before they installed the product, but since then we have saved money on our electric bill. if there is a problem, they are an email away to help. once the panels are installed they continue to stay with you on this journey!

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Renewable Energy Services of New England, Inc. solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Renewable Energy Services of New England, Inc..
