From my first contact with Sol-up everyone was more than accommodating, concerned and responsive. They made me feel they knew what they were doing. They were always available to answer questions quickly and cheerfully. There was no high pressure selling or additional add on’s They kept on top of NVEnergy to push the final hookups and sign off I highly recommend them. Great company! Great people. Thank you Sol-up!

I chose Sol-Up for solar because they are the best all around. They have great reviews and I can see why. They use great products and their price was cheaper than other competitors. Their staff is friendly and helpful, they answered all my questions. They took care of everything; they handled the application process with NV Energy and City of North Las Vegas. The installation was quick and painless. I can't wait to see how much I'll be saving on my power bill!

Our contact with Sol-Up was very professional and friendly in every step. Mari King, COO explained to us to how many panels we needed base on how much energy we use, and what panels are most efficient for our needs. We appreciate it very much to Mari King and everyone involved with our solar needs. "We love Sol-up" "Thank You very much" Frank and Gloria

Good sales people and installation was smooth and I was satisfied. That said, if you need ANY post installation help, this is NOT the company for you! The first issue I had with an inverter a few months after installation, I found myself, after I was assured that the company monitors for failures. Clearly not the case. I now have an issue to be handled and have spoken their "customer service rep" three times over the past two weeks. Every time they forward me to a new department with only voice mail, I have left three messages, and have had exactly ) returned calls. I called back and insisted on talking to a human beings and apparently that's "not possible". I personally believe service AFTER the sale is as important as the sale itself. Apparently SolUp has another business model, and I am NOT a fan! My advice, select another company (there are MANY) that will provide you the service and support you deserve after spending tens of thousands of dollars.

I signed an agreement with Sol-Up to install solar and upgrade my service panel in July. They scheduled the installation for the end of August. On August 29, the morning of the install, Sol-Up called to inform me that the service panel was back ordered. They asked if I wanted to continue with the solar panel install that morning . I declined because they couldn’t guarantee the delivery of the service panel. I had moved my family out of the house since the power was going to be turned off for the day. Michael Sweet Sr. had stated that he would take care of reimbursing me for my expenses associated with the relocation. I have still not received a phone call back from the company to give me an update on my install. The day we spoke, they said they would be speaking to the COO and I would receive a call back soon. I never received that call. I called back and spoke with someone a couple of weeks later and she said someone would call me back the next day. That did not happen either. On October 24, I sent an email to Sweet Sr with my receipts for reimbursement and never received a response back. If I decided to do the install, I would have solar panels on the roof with no way of turning the system on. This company talks so highly of their customer service to which I have not seen. Each time I have spoken to them, they apologized for the lack of response and say it is not the way they do business, but then they do not follow up on their promises. Very disappointing.

Physician here. I contracted with Sol-up for a system after interviewing several firms. Huge mistake. On the day of installation, even though the job was far from done, they demanded full payment. First at the job site then later that evening by email... from the CFO. I responded by noting that they have yet fulfill the terms of our contract, but they were hardly deterred. 2 months later they still needed to install the bird wire as part of the contracted job. Instead of installing the bird wire, without my permission, they installed an ugly black bird mesh. I had rejected this exact mesh on the original day of installation in favor of the bird wire which I had contracred for. Then I get the emails demanding payment even though they have yet to install the bird wire I contracted for and admit to not doing so. You would think the simple solution is to remove the mesh and install the bird wire, but that's not how Sol-up rolls apparently. Instead they are threatening to lien my house if I don't pay within 2 days. There are a lot of other solar firms out there. Do yourself a solid and hire one of them.

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like Sol-Up Inc. consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Sol-Up Inc. solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Sol-Up Inc..

Steps for Installing Solar Panels

  • Qualification: Contact solar companies through web forms, referrals, or flyers. Answer questions to determine eligibility.
  • System Design: Receive initial solar system design in a proposal. Review the design and consider panel placement, avoiding “under-sizing“ or “oversizing.“
  • Compare Quotes: Evaluate quotes, considering factors like monthly payments, power output, and system details. Seek guidance to simplify the comparison.
  • Contract Signing: Select a company and panel design, understand and sign the contract.
  • Site Survey: Technician assesses the site for solar panel installation, checking roof orientation and structural integrity.
  • Engineering: Behind-the-scenes process finalizes system layout, electrical configuration, and structural safety for permit submission.
  • Permitting: The company obtains necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Installation: Expert team mounts panels, installs wiring and inverters, connects the system to the grid.
  • System Activation: Request final inspections, obtain permission to operate (PTO) from the utility, and turn on the system. Monitoring apps track power generation.
