We had Solar Wolf install our solar with a battery this winter. My husband works for a window company and worked with them on a mutual customers home. They came to our house and went over all of it. We are very happy with it and can't wait for the snow to be off the panels however. Jack took the day off when they installed it and worked with them. Angel answered all his questions and then showed us how to operate it once the power company turned it on. The process from beginning to end was longer than it took to do our windows but we learned there are considerably more steps to it. We would use them again.

I had solar installed by Solar Wolf and like others have mentioned the communication was lacking and it got to the point i didnt even think it would get installed. When they did actually install it they ended up just showing up at the house. Last year i inquired about a battery and they said they would get back to me.. Never got back to me. Fast forward to today and i found out they went out of business. i found this out because i have an issue with my roof and need the panels removed.. Ive since called Dividend finance who they were allegedly parterning with and they are telling me they need to get back to me. What are all existing customers doing? What happened to our 10 year warranty we were promised. I feel cheated that i am still paying monthly for this loan and there is no maintenance going to be provided

After no call/no show for multiple scheduled installation dates, they finally had to install on New Years eve because otherwise the rebate would be less. The promised coverage and customer service is non existent.

In 2017 we hired Solar Wolf to put solar panels on our roof. The price was fair, communication excellent, and installation was quick and seamless. Help with occasional inverter trouble was quick and spot on. In 2018, we hired them again to add 4 more panels which once again went smoothly. They also helped locate a tree company to take down a tree next to our house in the spring of 2021. Because of these experiences, we were eager to work with them again on a home battery and willing to cut them slack dealing with sick crews, supply chains, and general pandemic messiness. But, they have sat on deposits for over a year, communication has been very lacking far as progress or updates on the install, nothing has been done other than pull some permits I believe. In addition, our inverter has been faulty for over a year which has halted our SREC payments. Since I informed Solar Wolf we would like our money back or battery installed, they said they’d get back to me with an answer but never have. After seeing similar complaints about Solar Wolf on Better Business Bureau of long waits after taking deposits for various jobs, I am here to leave this review and do not recommend working with them. Even accounting for the pandemic upending everything, Solar Wolf in 2022 feels like a different company from the one we initially hired in 2017. This was my old review after their initial solar panel install work in 2017 and 2018: Solar Wolf had a very competitive rate and they were very professional in their install at our house. There are minimal connections on the roof and I've seen other installs with connections running all over the place on the roof and ground level. There were snags due to weather during the install and then the permitting in Boston took awhile but Solar Wolf was there smoothing things out and coaching us all along the way. They also taught us about SRECs which make the solar investment all the more attractive. After 10 years, without even counting the energy savings, the cost of the install will be covered by the tax credit and the SRECs. Do it. Stick a renewable energy finger in Scott Pruitt's eye.

The promises made by this company sound great, until they get you to sign the contract and pull a couple of payments out of you; after that, making any progress is worse than having multiple root canals. I signed a contract in April 2021 to have my roof redone and solar added. The contract said that the work would be substantially completed in August. We are now approaching 10 months since signing the contract, work on the roof has not even been started, never mind anything regarding the solar. I've made two large payments to them already, and have yet to see any progress. Don't make the same mistake I made, find a company that will actually complete the work they say they will.

I am in the same boat as others. Signed a contract in April, promptly provided deposits, but can't even get a projected installation date from anyone. I've spent countless hours trying to follow up and get polite responses like "we're working on it" but still no date. Happy to update this review accordingly if communication improves and the work gets done per the contract this month (was promised it would easily be done by October). I hope Energysage can help with this so that I do not have to fund other points of escalation. Was also lied to about Roof Wolf - they said their were GAF Elite Certified. This was a complete lie. They are just a broker and subcontract the roof to whoever they want without disclosing this to customers.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Solar Wolf Energy Inc.
