Switch Electric did an excellent job setting up solar panels and battery backup in our new construction home. Everyone we worked with was professional, knowledgeable, and delivered on their commitments on time, schedule and budget. Would highly recommend if you're looking to install solar or a backup generator.

I couldn’t be happier with the work that Tyler and all his team have done at my place. They did better than perfect, they did exactly what I wanted! I got some photovoltaic panels + Enphase batteries + span smart breaker installed by Switch Electric, and the process was super smooth from the quoting, up until after the installation. First, the quote I received had a very good price. Without any negotiation, it was already the cheapest out of all the companies that bid on the project. Even better than that, the technologies were the best ones of all the quotes. So it was a no brainer and I decided to pull the trigger. We did work back and forth on the quote a few times, because I was undecided, and every time it was very clear, and very fast to get an update. Then when the team arrived on site, they saw right away that I would be really picky about everything: from the positions of the equipment, to whether the wire would be in-wall or visible, I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted. When there were a few possibilities to do one thing, they knew to ask me for what I wanted, and I had the opportunity to give my input every time. I had my first 24h outage a few weeks after my installation was done, and it held up perfectly fine! The system had a little quirk (that Enphase fixed by software update really quickly), and Tyler himself stopped by my place to make sure that everything was working as expected. I recommended going with Switch Electric to all my friends and co-workers, because it’s very rare to find a company that does such a good job and where everything always goes smoothly!

Tyler and Switch Electric were very highly recommended to me and that recommendation was spot on. In May Switch Electric did a solar installation with battery storage and generator backup. The crew that did the installation was excellent and i couldn't be happier with the system. They were very respectful of the property, I didn't find one piece of scrap wire on the ground. A few weeks ago we had a storm that took the grid down at our house for about a week. When it happened we didn't even know until we looked outside and the rest of the neighborhood was dark. After a few days there was a hardware malfunction that happened that I was unaware of. Tyler notified me that there was an issue at 8pm and he came right out to investagate. Tyler did a temporary fix so that we had power and came out the next day to replace a curcuit board to get the system back to normal. Workmanship and customer service is excellent. I cannot recommend Tyler and Switch Electric enough and I have zero reservation in doing so.

I used Switch Electric for electrical work in the past and was always impressed with their craftsmanship, communication and dedication to their customers. When I decided to have solar panels installed last year, I gave them a call. Tyler showed up a couple of days later to walk me through different options and we agreed that the Essentials package was best for our usage needs. We scheduled the project for a few months later - communication was superb throughout and we ended starting exactly when we had said we would. They took care of all the permits and paperwork. As usual, the guys who showed up for the project really knew their stuff - very pleasant to work with, always cleaned up at the end of every day of work and ended up doing all the wirings very neatly. The only difficulty was during the final fire inspection, where the city of Redmond had some extra rules that honestly didn't make a lot of sense but Switch again adjusted everything to pass the inspection. I also found the pricing competitive, so if you have solar install needs and would like quality work, I highly recommend you check out Switch Electric. They are awesome!

We've had Switch Electric out to do quite a bit of electrical work on our home - everything from adding electric vehicle charging to outlet troubleshooting to running Ethernet cable, and I've always been impressed with them and their work. They are always professional, courteous, and the work itself is excellent. This latest project came about fairly quickly - we had previously expressed interest in Solar, and were thinking of doing so next year. In discussing with Tyler in May, he made me aware that the current Washington State incentive was set to reduce at the end of June, so it may be worth running the numbers to see if we could make it work this year instead. Tyler had me follow up with Jeremy if it made sense to go ahead (which it did if we could get it done in time). Jeremy was my main contact for the solar install, and all of my interactions with him just reinforced why I like Switch for all of our electrical work. Jeremy patiently answered all of my questions, and gave me excellent advice on what we didn't need (for example explaining why I probably didn't need a battery backup right now given the cost vs benefits). They'd be happy to install anything I wanted, but he encouraged me to look into some alternatives or wait until prices reduced. He also explained the technology they were planning to use (power optimizers with a central inverter) and gave an overview of the whole process. He certainly knows his stuff - and I appreciate him recommending a significantly cheaper setup than I had been planning. Given the compressed timeline to get everything lined up and inspected prior to the end of June, I had been a bit nervous things would be a mad rush (especially given we had a 2 week old baby heading into June and had little time). Switch took care of everything they possibly could, only taking my time when absolutely needed to sign paperwork. I'm sure things were a rush on their end, but we never felt it and were able to focus on our new baby. The install took about a week including everything, with Jeremy and Brett doing the install. Despite some last minute hiccups with parts being available (with the project coming together so quickly) everything finished on schedule and our new solar installation looks and works great! Thanks to both Jeremy and Brett for their patience in being interrupted during the process to answer questions, and for their quick responses to our emails afterwards! A final note - we also had other work done by Switch at the same time, and at one point I think we had just under half of the company out at once doing various installs. I wanted to focus this review on the Solar install we had done, but the rest of the work went excellently as usual and I appreciate the hard work from everyone else too! Thanks Switch! Initially, I was very happy with the installation of my solar panels and the monitoring service through Solar Edge Monitoring. I was happy until my monitoring service stopped working. I called Switch to find out if they knew why it stopped. I was told it was most likely a software change made by Solar Edge. I called Solar Edge and they advised my system was not sending them updates. Apparently when I switched internet providers the Solar Edge Box could not connect to the internet. I then called Switch asking them if they could update my password. They said sure, but it would cost me $275 to change my password! I paid $24,000 for the system, and they want $275 to update the password? That is not right!
