They have been around for 8 years. Choosing them was a no brainer.

We live in Jackson, CA, in Rollingwood Estates, a mobile home park. The park management company did extensive research and deemed them a solid company to do business with. And after reviewing the list of those with the V3 installations, we decided to sign up and are we glad we did, especially after this past heatwave. So far we have not have to paid for any year end PG&E charges. Yea. But PG&E still has to change a $5.00 monthly fee for transmission as of today, anyway. Since then we have seen multiple units installed in the neighborhood. Some folks even had battery backup installed. Not sure of the price. After reading the one star reviews of the company, doesn't sound like our experience. Sad those folks has problems. Some of the features we appreciate are the fact that they took care of all the permits the state requires of any changes to a mobile home, that they will take off the panels when we need a new roof installed and replace them, no charge, and that the system and payments on the system go with the home when we sell. Our sales person is excellent. Jake, thank you for your after-sale service.

Our experience with V3 Electric began in April 2022. Prior to this time and for a period of approximately 5 months we investigated “going solar” via online videos, reviews of solar companies, solar equipment data sheets, NEM details, our utility energy statements, etc. At our request, a V3 energy consultant visited our home and spent more than 2 hours describing the proposed solar panel system and answering our many questions. At no time were any “pressure tactics” employed or exaggerated performance claims made. We appreciated the consultant’s professionalism, liked what we saw and decided to move forward. On April 20 V3 Electric sent an LOI for the proposed system ($0 installation cost / fixed monthly price / 25-year contract). From that point on every aspect of the process (proposal verification, drone survey, system design, permitting, installation, inspection, interconnection with the local utility and permission to operate) was conducted promptly and without issues of any kind. V3 Electric kept us informed of process status, what to expect and anything needed from us. The service technicians arrived on time for each visit: panel installation June 8, electrical equipment installation June 29, and final inspection July 13. All installation work reflected attention to detail. On July 17 we received permission to operate from our utility (PG&E). We are very satisfied with V3 Electric and happy we chose them as our energy provider. In preparing this review my wife and I tried to identify V3 Electric deficiencies or shortcomings that could be eliminated or improved, but we can’t think of anything. If we had to do this over again, we would choose V3 Electric.

I’m skeptical of most door to door salespeople, and tend to say no thanks. I had been interested in solar, but I was rebuffed by 2 solar companies when I said I had a tile roof (the guys that station themselves at Costco and Home Depot). I decided I would listen to my now representative- who explained the system. Immediately I thought, this is too good to be true. Having gone through a major remodel, I wasn’t prepared to finance a solar panel system. My rep, KaVell Jenkins was patient as he explained V3’s model for installing the system. I conferred with my son, who shares my skepticism. KaVell came back to talk to both of us, bringing his compatriot Tyler, who went into depth. Once we understood how they make their money, we were sold. I wanted to get a system before NEM3 took effect; where PG&E is going to charge $6/size of system for the inverter charge. My unit at nearly 7Kwh would be an additional $42/month, but I’m under NEM2 which is a flat $10/month. I was seeing my kWh charge going up; within 3 month it went from 21¢- to42¢/kWh. It makes sense. So I was able to get 22 panels and a larger panel box (usually a $6K upgrade) installed - free. They own the system (as of now) and monitor the panels. I’m paying V3 for my electricity now at a flat rate, with a minimum rate increase of 1.5%/year. My highest bill in 25 years will still be LESS than my electricity bill NOW. PG&E has another huge rate increase in 2023 planned to cover the cost of the fires. As far as customer service, it’s been excellent. I’ve had my questions and concerns answered immediately. They guided me through every step of the process. I read through every inch of my contract, and I feel confident I made the right decision. They inspected my roof thoroughly, showed care and concern for my property. I now have my system up and running, using the sun to run my hot tub! I have the option to buy my system too, which I will purchase at some point. Their model though, allowed me to install a system without having a lien on my house and and get the NEM2 rate while I still can. It’s a local company too, based out of Sacramento, always a plus. I’m very happy with everything and I’d recommend them if anyone is considering solar but balking at the cost of purchasing a system .

I got 3 separate bids, like they advise you to do, with V3, PetersenDean and Solarhut. All professional and I have nothing negative to say about any of them. However, V3 is the one that stuck out to me with how thorough they were explaining the process and I didn't feel rushed into making the decision. Ultimately, it came down to what made the most sense financially and the quality of what we were getting longterm. I have been happily installed for a year now and will gladly keep sending my friends and family to this company. I also want to praise the sales individuals who assisted one of my close friends. They told her that it did not make sense to get solar in her situation - it would have cost more money no matter how you sliced it for her and out of the 6 companies she spoke with, V3 was the only one to confirm her beliefs. Honesty is a big deal when you're making a large purchase and there is no question that this company values just that.

I have had V3 panels for just about a year now. The process took a little longer than expected. My county's building department took extra time to get my project approved, but their office was consistent on following up and keeping me in the loop. I am liking the end result. Looking at my utility bill, it's been lower than ever. I signed up for a better utility plan and that's just what I got. One happy camper.

I have seen some reviews from others saying that V3 claims to be SCE or PG&E, and maybe some of them have, but they came to my door, were very polite to both myself and my husband, and the statement they made was about who we are CURRENTLY set up with - not falsely identifying themselves. Listen when people talk to you or don't leave a review. I have been a happy customer TWICE with this company and have made a few bucks by referring my close friends to them, who also love working with them as well. Thank you for getting us all set up, V3!

What To Look For In A Solar Installer?

When looking for a solar installer, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose a reputable and competent company that meets your needs.

When selecting an installer like V3 Electric consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest V3 Electric solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on V3 Electric.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
