I want to highly recommend Vital Energy. I have two houses, one is a rental and the other is my residence.Vital Energy is a family owned, local business. The crew is made up of guys who have been installing solar for many years. Jay the owner is whom I dealt with. He has been doing solar for over 30 years. I was impressed with his knowledge. He is a certified electrician which made me feel much more comfortable. He did not try to oversell me, he was honest about what we needed. Not something I found with the other companies. He really understands this business because of his years of experience, unlike the young guys whom the others sent out. I was most concerned about to quality of the installation. This will be on my roof for several decades and I don't want sub workmanship. The company was fast, efficient and quality. The price was competitive. I can not tell you how happy I am that I hired Vital Energy after hearing some of the horror stories from my friends when they dealt with some of the bigger companies.

Jay and Vital Energy is the place to go for solar. He is real, honest, up to date on the latest tech, got me the best price, and he is into relationship - so when questions come up and changes need to be made, he's is available. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my solar system and with the way it was done and how I continue to get help and support along the way!

This company is tops; they were a referral to me by my son who has one of their systems, as does the place he works at which researched them very carefully. I had interviewed 3 national companies, but this firm beat all their prices, gives me the longest warranties, does continuous monitoring to anticipate any problems and the entire process has been an outstanding experience; great communication every step of the way; timely, efficient, hassle free and most of all very price competitive.

I highly recommend Jason Jackson and the entire team at VitalEnergy to anyone interested in installing solar panels on their home. From explaining the basics of solar through the steps for installation and connection, Jason not only took the time to discuss everything with me, but often gave me additional tips and tricks of the trade. There never was any pressure to make a decision before I was ready, and they handled all the details and coordination. Their bid was highly competitive, and they happily worked with me to make adjustments to the proposed size of my system and fully answered all questions I had about the quote. From when I first contacted them to when PG&E hooked up my system, I went from no solar to an operating system in about a month. I'm looking forward to the sunny season when my system will fully kick into gear!

My husband and I have had an excellent experience with Vital Energy Solar. Jay the owner is very knowledgeable, upfront and honest. He explained different solar products and chose one based on our current needs. The crew was in and out in a day, the exposed conduit was painted to match our house and roofing. The panels are very sleek looking and efficient. Jay is always available for questions thru email or text/phone and quick to respond. We are very happy with our choice in solar contractors. We wanted to stay local and glad we did. You will not be disappointed if you choose Vital Solar Energy.

Vital Energy Solar was excellent to work with, I did my homework on Solar and they have the best price, excellent solar products with the best warranties and a more powerful system than the competitors. All USA products, Enphase inverters made right here in Petaluma. I was really impressed from the first contact to the final PGE approval. Jay the owner is on site, goes over every step with you, inspects all the work completed by his crew, follows up with you, and available to take phone calls, texts and answer any questions. I highly recommend them for solar installation! From the start of the quote to installation and PGE approval one month, now that is impressive!

We had a solar installation done by Jason (Jay) Jackson of Vital Energy Solutions. This was to be a system with 9.9kW of solar panels and a 7.6kW inverter. Jay and his crew came out and did the entire job in a single day, all work was neat and professional. Jay worked with me to arrive at a good design that didn't overfill my roof and was at a good price. I got four bids, Jay's was significantly below the other bids, and he was by far the easiest to work with in terms of discussing alternatives and arriving at a really short payback time.

Unfortunately, PG&E then informed us that their transformer serving our home was only rated at 5kVA and they would not give "Permission To Operate", so we couldn't connect the system up. After much effort on Jays part, PG&E finally agreed that if we downsized the inverter to 5kW, then we could get permission to operate. Jay arranged for the new inverter and obtained a low-cost building permit to document the change for PG&E.

The change in inverter was completed on a Wednesday, and one week later we had Permission To Operate and were producing power, no thanks to PG&E who were very difficult to work with during the time leading up to this. .

We selected Vital Energy Solar to install our solar panels based upon a positive referral from a neighbor. She had shopped around and concluded Jason Jackson, owner of Vital Energy Solar, was the most qualified. We can affirm this is the case. Jason has a lot of experience in the field, is very personable, and has been very responsive to questions and concerns. He was able to schedule the install quickly and the crew completed the install in one day.

We are confident in recommending Vital Energy Solar to anyone thinking of installing solar panels!

Nick Chase
Windsor

When selecting an installer like Vital Energy Solar consider:

Experience and Reputation:

Look for a company with a solid track record and years of experience in the solar industry. Read the latest Vital Energy Solar solar reviews from past customers to gauge their reputation.

Certifications and Licenses:

Ensure the installer holds the necessary licenses and certifications required in your area. Look for certifications from organizations like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to verify their expertise.

Quality Products and Technology:

Inquire about the types and brands of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment they use. Quality matters for long-term performance. Ask if they offer the latest solar technologies, such as high-efficiency panels or energy storage solutions.

Warranty Information:

Understand the warranties they offer for equipment and workmanship. A reputable installer should provide comprehensive warranties. The majority of modern solar panels are equipped with a warranty spanning 20 to 30 years, encompassing both the product's integrity and its energy output. An ordinary workmanship warranty offered by a certified company typically provides coverage for solar panels for an average period of 10 years.

Transparent Pricing and Contracts:

Get detailed solar quotes that include all costs, from equipment and labor to permits and inspections. Review the contract carefully to ensure it's clear and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Local Knowledge:

Choose a company familiar with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. This can expedite the installation and ensure compliance.

Customized Design:

Look for companies who provide custom solar system designs tailored to your specific energy needs and property characteristics.

Energy Production Estimates:

The installer should provide accurate estimates of how much energy the system will generate, factoring in local climate conditions and other key influences. If your estimated solar savings are much higher with one solar company, you'll want to inquire further to ensure their savings projections aren't skewed to close the sale. Connect with us for a free estimate.

Financing Options:

Inquire about solar financing options, including purchase, lease, or power purchase agreements (PPAs). Ensure you know the pros and cons of each option.

Customer Service:

Assess their responsiveness and willingness to answer your questions and concerns and consider the installer's commitment to your project satisfaction. Throughout your solar process we’ll advocate for you, ensuring your solar project is done right.

References and Recommendations:

Seek recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues who have installed solar panels. Ask the installer for references from past clients who can share their experiences. You can also read the latest reviews on Vital Energy Solar.

Multiple Quotes:

Don't hesitate to obtain quotes from multiple installers to compare pricing, services, and warranties. Hint: We can help!

Financing and Incentive Knowledge:

Ensure the installer is knowledgeable about available incentives, tax credits, rebates and financing options. At EnergyPal, we’ll help maximize your savings.

Safety Practices:

Confirm that the installer adheres to safety protocols during installation to protect both workers and your property.

By researching and considering these factors, you can select a reputable solar installer who will provide a quality solar energy system and a positive experience throughout the installation process. Connect with us to learn more about the best solar installers in your area.
